Valerie's daughter wants you to know that she was adopted as an infant and her parents are magnificent parents! Even with a great upbringing with both Christian parents in their home, she faces many challenges in this life. It causes both to be in unfamiliar places and having ongoing therapy. Even though in some black communities there is a sigma about trusting therapists with your personal business, so far, it's been a positive experience for them.
