Gisèle Pelicot nació en Villingen-Schwenningen (Alemania), en 1952, y pasó su infancia en la región francesa de Indre. Se casó con Dominique Pelicot en 1973 y se divorció de él en 2024, antes del llamado «juicio de Mazan». Tiene tres hijos: David, Caroline y Florian.
